38-7225 - Factory Sample Replica Sportster 2.4 Gallon Gas Tank

Replica gas tank has a right side petcock location and a fuel capacity of 2.4 gallons. High tunnel stock style tank features stock mounts and filler neck. It uses a 1975-up type petcock. Check the tank for flaws or fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. The petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the petcock. Factory samples are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment.
