38-0569 - Bobbed Gas Tank Set

Bobbed gas tank kit includes a 3.5 gallon capacity gas tank set with emblem mounts welded in place 1955-1956 emblems with screws gas cap set and a 4 speed shifter gate. Shifter lever with ball and zinc gas tank mount kit are not included and must be purchased separately. Kit features provisions to accept reserve shut off rod not included. Kit is for hand shift applicatons and will accept 3/8 inch NPT petcock with male threads not included. Opening is on the left side forward on the tank. *NOTE: Check the shut off opening making sure the shut off valve can be easily installed. The shut off fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the shut off valve. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. All tanks or tank sets require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to be shimmed when installed to achieve correct height.
