38-0890 - Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set

Bobbed gas tank set features provisions to accept early caps reserve shut off rod and two or three light dash. Tank has emblem mount strips attached. Order 1955-1956 die cast emblem set separately. Tank emblem mount screws not included. Tank features indents for shifter gate and has welded on shifter handle tabs. Check the shut off opening making sure the shut off valve can be easily installed. The shut off fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the shut off valve. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. All tanks or tank sets require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to be shimmed when installed to achieve correct height. *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged inchoversize inch for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
