38-7219 - Factory Sample Chopper Axed 3.3 Gallon Gas Tank

Gas tank is a chopper axed gas tank. It has a right side petcock opening and fuel capacity of 3.3 gallons. The tank features a screw type bung and accepts a ratcheting style vented gas cap. Gas cap is not included. The tank features center rails and two mount tabs and a 3/8 inch NPT outlet with 2 x 1/4 inch crossover outlets on either side of the rear to allow for multiple choices for routing fuel lines. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seeal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check the petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the petcock. Factory sample are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment.
