38-0496 - WR 45 2.0 Gallon Gas Tank Set

WR narrow type 45 inch 2.0 gallon gas tank set features a raw finish. Tank has 2-3/8 inch NPT fittings on each side the left 1-1/4 gallon for the gas and the right 1-1/4 gallon for the oil. Tank uses two vented gas caps which are not incl Does not accept reserve fuel shut off rod or instrument dash panel assemblies. Both sides are intended for gas if oil tank is under seat ares but can be refitted to use gas on the left and oil on the right. Order required oil feed vent and return lines and oil return pipe kit mount kit 1936-46 shift gate plugs and caps separately. Right side for oil will require a oil stand pipe with 3/8 inch NPT outside and 1/4 inch NPT inside thread. Pipe extension must be within 1/2 inch top of the tank. The nipples on the tank measurs 3/8 inch. Fittings in the bottom of the tank are 1/8 inch NPT for use with gas petcocks or fittings. Before installation or painting check gas tank for any flaws. Do not grind or sand seams or welded joints. Clean the inside of the tank and pressure test. Check petcock openings ensuring petcock can be easily installed. Use proper hardware for the installation process. Please install tank with fittings in frame with motor installed before painting.
