38-1937 - UL 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set Raw

2025 New Production raw steel gas tank set is for use with UL models and accepts NPT petcocks. Gas tanks are 3-1/2 gallons for the right and left side. For Big Twin Flathead models. Gas tank set features ribbed inside panels and a rounded indent on the left side of the tank. The reinforced ribs on the left side are pressed on for durability which was an upgraded feature for the 1941-1946 models. The right side does not have the indented ribs. Gas tank does not have a shut off rod provision in the left side. Requires 2 petcocks one for the left side and one for right side. Threads for petcocks are 3/8 inch x 18 NPT for left side and 1/8 inch x 27 NPT for the right side. Bayonet cap spigots are shorter than the late model versions as on 1965-1972 FLH. *NOTE: Tanks use 2 vented caps. *NOTE: Tank set accepts cateye or early skull type dash and base assemblies and early 1937-1946 type shifter gates. Emblem mount strips not included available separately. 1936-1939 models used decals for gas tanks - restorer may add emblem mount strips if desired.
