38-0597 - Tourist Trophy Gas Tank Set

Tourist Trophy gas tank set without brackets welded on is 2.8 gallons. Tank does not have the dash cutout. Tank is constructed from steel and features a raw finish. For use with bayonet type gas caps. Use for 2 sides of gas. The left side accepts metric nut type petcock. Order hardware separately fittings and plugs not included. Please test fitment before painting. Tank weld seams may require filler to meet your individual requirements. Do not gind or sand the seams as this may cause leaks. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal. This will help to stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installatino of petcock. *NOTE: The rear mount bar has 5/16 inch x 24 threads which mounts to the seat inchT inch tab on the frame holes. Rear connector bar may have to be spaced out or shortened for proper fitting of tank or frame. *NOTE: UPS may consider this part as packaged inchoversize inch for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
