12-0883 - Oil Pump Assembly
SKU 12-0883
FL cast iron oil pump sub assembly is zinc plated. Has correct shape cover but does not use governor rotor. Oil pump is assembled as an accurate replica with all components that are interchangeable with OEM parts. Related parts are parkerized or cadmium. *NOTE: Feed gear are inside scavenger return gears outside. 1949 governor rotors were eliminaded! this encompassed a centrifugal valve within. This valve was supposed to help better regulate oiling at idle up to intermediate speed. Two body holes formerly passed oil to and from the governor. In turn we replaced the 1948 spring to revert back to the 1936 spring. Factory found these changes allowed oil pressure to build up faster at idling as well. Hence piston rings change to more effecient vented and eventually three piece oil control chrome reverse. Outside cosmetics of pump correct back to 1942.
