35-1949 - MR-3 Linkert Carburetor Assembly
SKU 35-1949
Replica of the venerable MR-3 carburetor fitted to WR models includes all components fully assembled. This 4 bolt flange type fits the 4 bolt WR manifold and does not accept a choke mechanism. Body is natural cast aluminum. Includes all new parts installed including a bean pot bowl with nitrophyl float and Bombsight Venturi. The carburetor body is actually shorter as there is no provision for a choke lever and door bore is 1-1/4 inch. Both the high and low speed needles are similar due to the low speed not including the rocker mechanism. M-3 jet holes measures .045 inch and nozzle holes measures .042 inch. Various size of fixed jets are avalible seperately. We suggest to use air jet #7 8 or 9 dependinng on type of racing. We install M-75 Linkert carburetor main nozzle and nozzle spring cut to length as required. *NOTE: Many features for the M-3 were later used on 1952-1956 K models. The M-3 was wildly tested for racing during the 1940s. *NOTE: The 4 bolt flange pattern is for WR and KR manifolds.
