12-0856 - Knucklehead Oil Pump Governor Rotor

Oil pump centrifugal valve is precision ground for fit and features an oiled finish. Designed to be driven by the scavenger oil pump idler gear. Centrifugal valve bypasses oil at low and intermediate speeds and thus at lower speeds limits to low poundage the pressure on oil to engine. As the valve closes tighter at high speeds pressure gradually builds up to poundage at which the pressure regulating valve is set to open and bypass oil.
