38-0038 - K-Style 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank

Replica gas tank has a right side petcock location and fuel capacity of 3.5 gallons featuring the Roadster style. Front mount tab holes to rear mount tab holes measure 21-1/4 inch center to center. The fuel opening is 4-1/2 inch from the front edge of the tank and 16 inch from the rear edge. **NOTE: For an early retro look like on 1957-1978 Sportsters pair up with #50-1068 Replica rear Fender Steel for use with 18 inch wheels only. Weld on emblems and trip strip mounts available separately. Please test fitment before painting. Tank weld seams may require filler to meet your individual requirements. Do not grind or sand the seams as this may cause leaks. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal. This will help to stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. *NOTE: UPS may consider this part as packaged inchoversize inch for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
