38-7214 - Factory Sample Bobbed 4.0 Gallon Gas Tank

Gas tank is one piece with a left side petcock location and has a fuel capacity of 4.0 gallons. Tank has dash cutout that requires the use of a FXDWG 2 or 3 light dash cover and includes a chrome dash panel. *NOTE: Stock FXD dash cannot be used. Requires purchase of complete FXDWG 2 or 3 light dash kit. Check the tank for flaws or fit before painting. Bolts on with no additional hardware. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock openi ng making sure the petcock can be easily installed. The peptcock fitting should be masked or plugged during for easy installation of the petcock. Gas tank does not feature a vent nipple for the fuel gauge inside the dash mount area. Factory sample are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment.
