38-0136 - Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set

This two piece gas tank set has a fuel capacity of 3.5 gallons. Tank set accepts a cateye dash only. The lower bracket is inchC inch shaped. Tank set features handshift mounts and shut off rod provision. Order shut off rod mount bolt kit and seat kit separately. Mount strips are welded to each side to attach emblems and stainless trim. Tank emblem mount screws not included. Order emblems and trim separately. Tank may require fuel rod alignment before installation of shut off assembly. Check the tank for flaws or fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check shutoff opening making sure the shut off valve can be easily installed. Shut off fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of shut off valve. Tank set will require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to be shimmed when installed to achieve correct height.
