38-0142 - Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set

Fat Bob gas tank is a two piece set with a fuel capacity of 3.5 gallons. Tank features provisions to accept reserve shut off rod and two or three light dash. Tank may require fuel rod alignment before installation of shut off assembly. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal in order to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check the shut off opening making s ure the shut off valve can be easily installed. The shut off fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of shut off valve. All tanks or tank sets will require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to be shimmed when installed to achieve correct height. *Note: UPS may consider this part as packaged inchoversize inch for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
