38-0039 - Replica Sportster 2.4 Gallon Gas Tank

Replica gas tank has a left side petcock location and a fuel capacity of 2.4 gallons. High tunnel stock style tank features stock mounts and filler neck. It uses a 1975-up petcock with external thread for nut. *NOTE: Must order hardware separately. Please test fitment before painting. Tank weld seams may require filler to meet your individual requirements. Do not grind or sand the seams as this may cause leaks. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal. This will help to stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check petcock opening making sure the petcock can be easily installed. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the petcock. *NOTE: UPS may consider this part as packaged inchoversize inch for shipment as compared to the actual weight which will result in higher shipping costs.
