38-1949 - Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set

Bobbed gas tank kit includes a 3.5 gallon capacity gas tank set with emblem mounts welded in place. Kit includes 1947 - 1950 emblems with screw gas cap set shifter lever with ball 4 speed shifter gate and zinc gas tank mount kit. Kit features provisions to accept early caps reserve shut off rod and tow or three light dash not included. For use with hand shift applications and accepts 3/8 inch NPT petcock with male threads not included. Opening is on the left side forward on the tank. Check the shut off opening making sure the shutoff valve can be easily installed. The shut off fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the shut off valve. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting Do not grind or sand seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. All tanks or tank sets require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to shimmed when installed to achieve correct height. Tank mount bolt kit not included must order separately.
