38-0839 - Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set

Bobbed gas tank includes a 3.5 gallon capacity gas tank set with emblem mounts welded in place 1959-1960 emblems with screws and gas cap set. Gas tank accepts left side 22mm petcock with nut. Set is for shift applications and features provisions to accept early caps reserve shut off rod and gas tank mount kit which is not included. Tanks may require a fuel rod alignment prior to installing a shutoff assembly. For ease of installation check shutoff opening to ensure valve can be easily installed and mask or plug during painting. Order shutoff rod and seat kit separately. All tanks or tank sets will require hand fitting for correct dash alignment and fuel line fitment. Dash needs to be shimmed to achieve correct installation height. It is suggested to clean inside pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using a Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal in order to prevent leaking and corrosion. *Note: Carefully check the tank for flaws and fit before painting! Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Gas tank does not have holes on the left side to accept shift gate.
